Digital Therapy News

Contact editor of mpathe.com

Back at the start of 2009, I began mpathe.com hoping to offer human-to-human connections for empathic conversations carried on digitally.

I found the website empathy.com was already taken. On it were works by the artist, DG, who created sweet single frame "Empathy is..." cartoons such as the one shown. I decided on mpathe.com as an available and fun alternative name. I planned to make contact with the empathy.com site owner and make an offer to purchase the site.

mpathe.com does not offer mental health therapy. Our focus is covering news about online mental health therapy.

There are three offerings we feature this month.

The image of two smiling ladies links to betterhelp.com, a site described by a recent New York Times therapist commentator, Daniel Duaneas, as reinventing "therapy as low-paid gig work."

The picture of the seated woman and man links to mantracare.org whose site says they offer existentialist humanist therapy.

In the early 2000-teens, I looked again to empathy.com and found it as we see it today, a mental health therapy site. Good for the new owners. Not so much for my business plan. I have not yet logged onto empathy.com. The image of the reclining individual in stripped shirt, which is from their site, links to them.
